As two A-list-rappers, the friendship between Drake and Kanye West is really complicated. People firstly connected the name Drake with West in 2007 when Drake was a freshman of the rapper circle, describing West as "the most influential person" on his sound. Until today, their names are always linked together on Newspapers, but not for their ten-year relationship but a war of words. In December, West took aim at Drake on Twitter, twitting over 125 times, claiming that he was threatened by Drake. It seems like their friendship was broken, but how?

According to what he said in an interview "Before I ever got the chance to meet him, Kanye West shaped a lot of what I do, as far as music goes."
